A three-week international student summer program primarily designed for children and young students. The journey combines Tibetan language learning, Tibetan community experiences, student exchange, monasteries, arts, music, nature, sports, creativity, teamwork and friendship.

PART 01

Bengaluru · Arrival & Orientation

Days 1–2

Students begin their South India journey in Bengaluru with arrival, rest, orientation, introductions and preparation for the three-week summer program.

Day 1 — Arrival in Bengaluru

Arrival at Bengaluru International Airport, group meeting, airport pickup, transfer to accommodation, check-in, rest and welcome dinner.

Day 2 — Welcome & Student Orientation

Official program welcome, student introductions, safety briefing, group rules, team-building activities and preparation for the journey.

PART 02

Mysuru

Days 3–4 · 2 Days
Day 3 — Bengaluru → Mysuru

Travel from Bengaluru to Mysuru, accommodation check-in, local orientation, rest and evening group activities.

Day 4 — Mysuru Student & Cultural Day

Student activities, local cultural experiences, creative workshops, arts, photography, teamwork and supervised group activities.

PART 03

Bylakuppe

Days 5–14 · 10 Days

Bylakuppe forms the main educational and community section of the South India Summer Camp. Students participate in Tibetan language, community, cultural, creative and recreational activities.

Day 5 — Mysuru → Bylakuppe

Travel to Bylakuppe, accommodation check-in, introduction to the local Tibetan community and relaxed evening activities.

Day 6 — Tibetan Language Day

Tibetan reading, writing, speaking, vocabulary and everyday communication activities for students.

Day 7 — Monastery & Cultural Activities

Monastery visits, guided cultural activities, student observation, discussion, photography and group reflection.

Day 8 — Student & Community Exchange

Student interaction, community activities, communication practice, group learning, games and friendship-building activities.

Day 9 — Tibetan Arts & Music

Tibetan arts, music, drawing, calligraphy and creative workshops with individual and group activities.

Day 10 — Sports & Teamwork

Sports, team games, outdoor activities and group challenges designed to encourage teamwork, confidence and friendship.

Day 11 — Nature & Outdoor Education

Nature excursion, environmental learning, photography, outdoor activities and supervised student exploration.

Day 12 — Language & Cultural Exchange

Tibetan language workshops, conversation practice, cultural exchange and collaborative student learning activities.

Day 13 — Student Creative Project

Students work on creative projects using writing, photography, artwork and experiences collected during the summer camp.

Day 14 — Recreation & Rest

A lighter day with recreation, supervised free time, sports, group games and rest.

PART 04

Mundgod

Days 15–19 · 5 Days

The Mundgod section continues the student program through Tibetan community experiences, monasteries, student exchange, language, sports and group projects.

Day 15 — Bylakuppe → Mundgod

Travel to Mundgod, accommodation check-in, community orientation, rest and evening group activities.

Day 16 — Tibetan Community & Monastery Day

Community activities, monastery visits, Tibetan communication practice and student group assignments.

Day 17 — Student Exchange Day

Student or school exchange activities, communication, teamwork, games and friendship-building opportunities.

Day 18 — Language, Arts & Sports

Tibetan language practice, creative arts, sports, outdoor activities and student group challenges.

Day 19 — Student Presentations & Farewell

Student presentations, project sharing, group reflection, community farewell activities and preparation for departure.

PART 05

Bengaluru · Closing & Departure

Days 20–21
Day 20 — Mundgod → Bengaluru

Return to Bengaluru, accommodation check-in, final group reflection, closing ceremony, certificate presentation and farewell dinner.

Day 21 — Departure

Accommodation check-out, airport transfer and departure from Bengaluru. End of the Kelsang Metok South India Summer Camp 2027.

PARTICIPATION

Who Can Join?

South India Summer Camp 2027 is primarily designed for children and young students from Europe. Students from the United States and other countries are also welcome to apply.

Children & Students

The main educational program is designed for children and young students. Participants take part in Tibetan language learning, community experiences, student exchange, arts, sports, nature and teamwork activities.

Family Participation

For every two children registered from the same family, one parent, guardian or adult family member may join as an accompanying participant, subject to availability.

INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPANTS

Europe, USA & Other Countries

The program is mainly organized for students living in Europe. Students from the USA and other countries may also participate.

International Flights Are Not Included

Participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their own international flights to and from the designated arrival airport. Kelsang Metok will provide the required arrival and departure information before the program.

South India Summer Camp 2027 — Program Fee

The final program price will be confirmed after accommodation, meals, local transportation, educational activities, excursions and local service arrangements are finalized.

A separate CHF 500 Service & Administration Fee can be included in the final participant price.
