21-Day · 3-Week International Student Program

A three-week international student summer program primarily designed for children and young students. The journey combines Bhutanese culture, student exchange, community experiences, monasteries, traditional arts, nature, outdoor education, sports, creativity, teamwork and friendship.

PART 01

Paro · Arrival & Orientation

Days 1–3

The Bhutan Summer Camp begins in Paro with arrival, student orientation, introductions and cultural and community activities.

Day 1 — Arrival in Paro

Arrival at Paro International Airport, group meeting, airport pickup, transfer to accommodation, check-in, rest and welcome dinner.

Day 2 — Welcome & Student Orientation

Official program welcome, student introductions, group rules, safety briefing, teamwork activities and introduction to the three-week Bhutan journey.

Day 3 — Paro Culture & Community Day

Local cultural activities, community experience, student observation, photography, creative activities and group assignments.

PART 02

Thimphu · Student & Cultural Program

Days 4–10 · 7 Days

The Thimphu program combines student exchange, community experiences, traditional arts and crafts, sports, nature and creative learning.

Day 4 — Paro → Thimphu

Travel from Paro to Thimphu, accommodation check-in, local orientation, rest and evening group activities.

Day 5 — Student & Cultural Day

Student activities, cultural learning, communication exercises, group assignments and creative workshops.

Day 6 — Traditional Arts & Crafts

Introduction to traditional Bhutanese arts, crafts, drawing and creative activities, followed by student workshops.

Day 7 — Community & Student Exchange

Community interaction, student exchange, communication activities, group learning, games and friendship-building activities.

Day 8 — Sports & Teamwork

Sports, team games, outdoor activities and group challenges focused on teamwork, confidence and friendship.

Day 9 — Nature & Outdoor Education

Nature excursion, environmental learning, outdoor activities, photography and supervised student exploration.

Day 10 — Creative Student Workshop

Arts, photography, communication, creative learning and student group project activities.

PART 03

Punakha · Community & Nature

Days 11–15 · 5 Days

The Punakha section gives students opportunities for community activities, outdoor education, nature experiences, creativity and teamwork.

Day 11 — Thimphu → Punakha

Travel to Punakha, accommodation check-in, introduction to the local area, rest and evening group reflection.

Day 12 — Community & Cultural Activities

Community experiences, cultural activities, student communication, photography and group learning.

Day 13 — Nature & Environmental Learning

Nature excursion, environmental observation, outdoor education, photography and supervised group activities.

Day 14 — Recreation & Student Activities

Sports, games, creative activities, supervised free time and student teamwork activities.

Day 15 — Outdoor & Creative Day

Outdoor activities, photography, creative workshops, student projects and group reflection.

Punakha Focus

PART 04

Paro · Nature, Projects & Closing

Days 16–20 · 5 Days
Day 16 — Punakha → Paro

Return journey to Paro, accommodation check-in, rest and evening group activities.

Day 17 — Tiger's Nest Area & Nature Day

Supervised excursion in the Tiger's Nest area with nature observation, outdoor learning, photography and group activities.

Day 18 — Student Project & Creative Day

Students prepare final projects using photographs, artwork, writing and experiences collected throughout the Bhutan Summer Camp.

Day 19 — Student Presentations

Student project presentations, group sharing, creative activities, reflection and preparation for the closing program.

Day 20 — Closing Ceremony & Farewell

Final group reflection, certificate presentation, closing ceremony, friendship activities and farewell dinner.

PART 05

Departure

Day 21
Day 21 — Paro → Home

Accommodation check-out, airport transfer and departure from Paro International Airport. End of the Kelsang Metok Bhutan Summer Camp 2027.

PARTICIPATION

Who Can Join?

Bhutan Summer Camp 2027 is primarily designed for children and young students from Europe. Students from the United States and other countries are also welcome to apply.

Children & Students

The main educational and activity program is designed for children and young students. Participants experience culture, community, student exchange, nature, arts, sports, creativity and teamwork.

Family Participation

For every two children registered from the same family, one parent, guardian or adult family member may join as an accompanying participant, subject to availability.

INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPANTS

Europe, USA & Other Countries

The program is mainly organized for students living in Europe. Students from the USA and other countries may also participate.

International Flights Are Not Included

Participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their own international flights to and from the designated arrival and departure airport. Kelsang Metok will provide the required arrival and departure information before the program.

Bhutan Summer Camp 2027 — Program Fee

The final Bhutan Summer Camp price will be confirmed after accommodation, meals, local transportation, educational activities, excursions and local service arrangements are finalized.

A separate CHF 500 Service & Administration Fee can be included in the final participant price.
